trace out and describe a piping system specified by the assessor.	describe the purpose of the system traced; the location of the valves to be used to normally start and shutdown the system; the location of the valves to be used in the event of an emergency shutdown of the system, including emergency shutdown devices; manual operation of each type of valve in that system, both locally and remotely operated; manual operation of any in-tank measuring devices; probable location of any leakage, what form that leakage may take, onboard notification procedures, and what precautions are to be followed; any topping off procedures that are followed; and any stripping procedures that are followed.

The student will:

During assessment, the student shall, at a minimum:

trace out and describe a piping system specified by the assessor.

describe

the purpose of the system traced;
the location of the valves to be used to normally start and shutdown the system;
the location of the valves to be used in the event of an emergency shutdown of the system, including emergency shutdown devices;
manual operation of each type of valve in that system, both locally and remotely operated;
manual operation of any in-tank measuring devices;
probable location of any leakage, what form that leakage may take, onboard notification procedures, and what precautions are to be followed;
any topping off procedures that are followed; and
any stripping procedures that are followed.
