Condition Behavior Standard

When asked to name organizations the seafarer has the right to report situations concerning harassment, unfair practices, or unsafe conditions,

the candidate names in writing organizations the seafarer has the right to report situations concerning harassment, unfair practices, or unsafe conditions.

The candidate names (or selects an answer that describes) at least one of the following persons or organizations to whom the seafarer has the right to report situations concerning harassment, unfair practices, or unsafe conditions:

  1. The Master;
  2. The Designated Person Ashore and/or other company officials;
  3. Union representatives; or
  4. Appropriate federal agencies.
