Condition Behavior Standard

When asked to define an “enclosed/confined space” and describe the dangers associated with enclosed/confined spaces,

the candidate defines in writing an “enclosed/confined space” and describe the dangers associated with enclosed/confined spaces.


The candidate correctly defines (or selects an answer that describes) an “enclosed/confined space” and dangers associated with enclosed spaces, such as:

  1. Lack of oxygen;
  2. Dangerous gases, fumes and vapors;
  3. Lack of lighting;
  4. Limited access;
  5. Poor lighting; and
  6. Poor footing.
