Ability to organize abandon ship drills and knowledge of the operation of survival craft and rescue boats, their launching appliances and arrangements, and their equipment, including radio life-saving appliances, satellite EPIRBs, SARTs, immersion suits and thermal protective aids

Condition Behavior Standard

Course The assessment is satisfied by successful completion of a Coast Guard approved or accepted course specified in 46 CFR 11.309(a)(4).

This KUP is demonstrated by successful completion of approved or accepted training for Proficiency in Survival Craft (and Rescue Boats, other than Fast Rescue Boats or Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, other than Lifeboats and Fast Rescue Boats or by holding an endorsement for PSC or PSC-Limited.
