When asked on a written examination to list and describe the methods of fire spread,

the candidate lists and describes (or select the answer that lists and describes) the methods of fire spread.

The candidate lists and describes (or selects the answer that lists and describes) the following 3 methods of fire spread:

  1. Conduction – heat through a solid;
  2. Convection - heat transfer by fluid motion; and
  3. Radiation – heat transfer by electro-magnetic or radiant energy propagation.
