Describe pollution prevention procedures

In order to satisfy NVIC 14-14 Task 6.1.B , MMA students must:

On board ship or in a laboratory, when questioned by a Qualified Assessor,	the candidate describes the precautions to be taken to prevent pollution of the marine environment.	The candidate’s description includes: Collection, sorting by type, storage of garbage on board; Deck preparations for preventing or controlling pollutants due to the transfer of cargo, fuel, or passengers; Transferring garbage ashore for disposal; and Making rounds of areas that are under the responsibility of the deck department for pollution prevention and control.
