Behavior Standard
The student will: During assessment, the student shall, at a minimum:

perform an initial assessment (primary survey).

assess and treat, within 1 minute, life-threatening conditions, including:

  1. level of responsiveness;
  2. breathing;
  3. circulation; and
  4. severe bleeding.

Note: This assessment supports KUP AFA-X1.04, and is assessed in PE-0032 STCW Medical Care Provider.
