the candidate plans to lock and tag out an electric motor and uses the Megger to measure and record the dielectric strength of the insulation of the motor through connections in the controller, describing actions as they are being performed. All The assessment is required for all OICEW endorsements regardless of any limitations for propulsion mode and/or vessel equipment. |

MMA Method
In order to satisfy NVIC 17-14 Task 7.1.A , MMA students must:
- Successfully complete MMA Assessment OICEW-3-1D Measure insulation resistance
- Successfully complete MMA Assessment OICEW-7E4A Disassemble and reassemble an electric motor
