Course ECDIS The assessment is satisfied by successful completion of a Coast Guard approved or accepted course specified in 46 CFR 11.309(a)(4). The assessment is not required for mariners serving exclusively on vessels not fitted with an Electronic Chart Display Information System (ECDIS); a limitation will be added to the endorsement indicating that it not valid on vessels equipped with ECDIS after December 31, 2016. |
This KUP is demonstrated by successful completion of an approved or accepted ECDIS course. |
MMA Method
In order to satisfy NVIC 12-14 Task 4.1 , MMA students must:
- Pass MMA Course MT‑3224 Electronic Chart Display & Information System (ECDIS)
