Condition Behavior Standard

When asked on a written examination to list actions to be taken when the survival craft is in the water,

the candidate lists (or select the answer that lists) the actions to be taken when the survival craft is in the water.


The candidate lists (or selects the answer that lists) all of the following actions to be taken when survival craft is in the water:

  1. Safely release the survival craft;
  2. Safely recover personnel from vessel and water; and
  3. Safely maneuver survival craft away from vessel.

MMA Method

In order to satisfy NVIC 08-14 Task 1.10.A , MMA students must:

  • Pass MMA Course MT‑1111 Vessel Familiarization and Basic Safety Training
  • Pass MMA Course LB‑0201 STCW Lifeboatman Qualifications
