Performance requirement

Behavior	Standard
properly immobilize the patient’s spine.	perform, within 20 minutes and in proper sequence, all of the following: a. stabilize cervical spine; b. select and applies appropriate size cervical spine-immobilization device; c. maintain cervical alignment and traction while directing a team performing a log-roll onto a long spine board; and d. demonstrate securing the patient to a long spine board, securing the torso, then the head.

During assessment, the student shall, at a minimum:
