STCW Survival Craft
Course Description
This course covers all the necessary subject matter required by STCW Table A-VI/2-1
for Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, other than fast rescue boats, not
already covered within MT-1121 (Basic Training). It will introduce and/or review
various operations related to Survival Craft and Rescue Boats including:
boat types and launching apparatus; operations, including launching, boarding, rowing, steering, beaching, recovery; operation of rescue boat engine and other equipment.
