Condition

Using an approved simulator or aboard a ship, given piping diagram for the vessel and fire pump operating procedures.

Behavior

Plan, start, operate, and secure the fire pump describing actions as they are being performed.

Standard

  1. Plan reflects proper sequence of actions, is complete, and conforms to ship’s procedures;
  2. Pump operations are conducted according to plan;
  3. Actions taken are correctly and completely described;
  4. Required steps taken are verified by assessor utilizing sample checklist as a guide;
  5. No safety or pollution violations are observed.
