Condition

Aboard ship or in a workshop, given access to 3-phase electrical AC motor controller, a phase sequence indicator, and other proper tools and safety equipment.

Behavior

Plan and use the phase sequence indicator to determine and report the phase rotation, describing actions as they are being performed.

Standard

  1. The plan and layout of the job are correct, in proper sequence, and incorporate all safety considerations;
  2. Actions being executed are described correctly as they are being performed;
  3. The phase sequence indicator is used correctly and in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions;
  4. The phase rotation reported is correct;
  5. No safety violations are observed.
