extinguishing ship’s fire
- explains and gives example of organizational team planning aboard vessel
- explains emergency station bills and provides examples
- demonstrates the ability to use SCBA and PPE properly to protect themselves
for all training activities
- without assistance, finds his/her way through a simulated engineering space
without the aid of light or sight
- in a group, searches a space with fire and smoke to locate a missing person
(rescue dummy) and remove same from the space
- will lead a crew into a live fire situation, simulating a shipboard fire,
using a hoseline, and with his/her peers, controls and extinguishes the fire
- demonstrates the ability to follow commands while working with a crew to
control and extinguish a confined fire
- demonstrates through his/her actions their ability to check for and stop the
extension of fire during fire practical training
- demonstrates the ability to use an "all purpose nozzle" to confine and
extinguish fire
- demonstrates the ability to use a "vary nozzle"
- will participate in an evolution using water fog to ventilate a space filled
with smoke
