- demonstrates unprompted ability to use SCBA and PPE properly and use both to
protect self for all training activities
- demonstrates search and rescue skills by finding way through simulated
engineering space without the aid of light or sight and without assistance
- demonstrates, in a group, the search of a space with fire and smoke to locate
a missing person and remove same from the space
- will lead a crew into a live fire situation using a hose line, with peers in
control, and extinguish the fire
- demonstrates the ability to follow commands while working with a crew to
control and extinguish a confined fire
- demonstrate through his/her actions ability to check for and stop the
extension of fire during fire practical training
- demonstrate the ability to use an "all purpose nozzle" to confine and
extinguish a fire
- demonstrate the ability to use a "vary nozzle"
- participates in an evolution using water fog to ventilate a space filled with
smoke
