Sea Term '97 World Wide Classroom
The 546 foot Training Ship Patriot State
departed Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Sunday 12
January 1997, for its annual Sea Term. This year Sea
Term is taking cadets and crew to the ports of: New
Orleans, LA; Vera Cruz, Mexico; St. John, USVI; and
San Juan, Puerto Rico. The ship will also be making a
stop in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to drop off our MMA
Baseball team so they can attend spring training.
During the Sea Term, Maritime cadets learn to apply
classroom studies in the working environment.
