The Training Ship Patriot State arrived at the mouth of the Mississippi River early in the morning Wednesday, 22 January. It was a ten hour journey, nearly 100 miles, from the Mississippi Delta to the city of New Orleans, Louisiana. The river averages almost 50 feet in depth, and is 90 feet deep in some places!
